It just shows you how fast technology moves on, this game was big in its time.

If you want to play the game just click on the white and green space invader logo on the top right, you can then right click the screen of the game and play in full screen mode.

in the original there was a trick to get max points on the mother ship that went passed at the top (300 points)
shoot 22 times -- a 300 point ship would come -- then every 14 shots thereafter a 300 point ship would come
not sure if this is the same though
any old skool arcaders remember that one?

Missile Command was brilliant. I spent a bloddy fortune on it! I might never have been much good but loved laying down a carpet of explosions and then watching my bases get wiped out after I'd thought I had got the last missiles.

I used to play one every time I went swimming at Ashton baths.[30 yrs ago]
I would always have a hot chocolate, Monster Munch crisps and a game of Space Invaders. Great days.
I actually saw a full sized Space Invaders glass table game at Selfridges over christmas period. £500 though.

I could hardly see the screen through my chlorined eyes and their reaction to vinegar.
Happy days though.A few hours wasted. Not your whole life in your bedroom like now

Had the game totally sussed, if you played to a routine and made the last few invaders 'walk' along the bottom it was quite easy to clear all of the screens and reset the score counter without losing a life.
