Default What song would you like played at your funeral ?

Maybe not as depressing as you think ..

My mum had this
YouTube - Jim Reeves - Take My Hand Precious Lord

My Nan had this
YouTube - Chris De Burgh--Lady In Red

All very nice .. but jesus how depressing .. yes I know its a funeral !

I was thinking more like

YouTube - Sugababes - Girls

Think we had this thread a few years ago.

For me it would me Porcelain by Moby, and Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve.

Hallelujah by Rufus Wainright and whilst I'm dying something from Enya's "Day Without Rain".

I'll explain the Enya: When my daughter was young she had problems going to sleep so we used to put that music on and I would lie down next to her and would more often than not drop off to sleep as well. These days if I here anything from that album I come over all peaceful and want to drift off to sleep (not good if it ever comes on the radio as it would be a self fulfilling prophecy..).

My family already know my preferences - "Morning" from the Peer Gynt suite by Grieg and "Comfortably numb" Pink Floyd and one I can actually play on guitar - maybe "Wonderful land" by the Shadows!

Stone Roses - Resurrection.

Then I'd be back to haunt every ******* that made my life a misery

My father in law had the theme tune to The Archers played at his, as everyone was leaving the chapel

Not so much a song, but.....

I would like Brian Cobby to speak for a time at my funeral.
