Default Chinese hostage negotiations

'I have 3 demands or I'll kill the boy!'

Negotiators assess the situation from next door.

Head Negotiator dispatched

Negotiations begin

Negotiations concluded

They probably spent all of .20p on the bullet and around an hour in total

In this country, we would shut the street down for 48 hours, take 12 hours to talk him out of it, spend £600,000 giving him a fair trial, and pay his food and lodging for life.

No wonder their products are cheaper than ours.

It's ok, the head negotiator was wearing a harness, so he already complies with the Working at Height Act 2005

Not quite his harness is his last defence against a fall edge protection or a scaffold should have been erected first

I would have liked to have seen evidence of steel toe cap work boots too. This is not acceptable, No hi vis.... No hard hat..... And these BASIC pieces of clothing are dirt cheap over there..... No excuses.

I do like a story with a happy ending.

I do wonder how long it will be before one of self-appointed consciences of SN appears to call all those who thought this was the right thing to do - all Daily Mail reading morons and typical of thickar$e SN users and bandwagon jumping oh and keyboard warriors.

not long i bet...

i do hope that no one was injured by the falling shell casing - i would bet it was quite hot and could have really stung!

The shooter should have really used a revolver to avoid that sort of problem - that was real reckless.

IMHO

Do you think they had a 'jumper' cushion below in case he fell and at the last minute whisked it away going " ta dah !!! "

welcome to china.

they say life is cheap here, and if you see the conditions under which we do simple things, just like crossing the road for example, you would understand why. bus drivers think you're a legitimate target, car drivers don;t see you (bit like the special film they put on volvos at home so the driver can't see motorbikes) and the motorbikes just go straight for you as well

the driving in china is the worst i have ever seen - they don;t even look out of their side windows. people stop on the equivalent of our motorways to talk to each other etc etc - you would only believe it if you saw it!

Good stuff.

Obviously they thought that if he was stupid enough to be shielding the hostage and be against a window, he deserved to get shot in the face.

Maybe the area below already had a security barrier as you see on the bottom pic, maybe the pic was taken from there and the police was holding everyone behind it. Maybe it was a pre-approoved site for him to land
