Ian, i bought a pro full set from Halfords about 7 years ago. Spanners/sockets/rachets the full works. With a lifetime guarantee. Just before crimbo my 1/2 drive rachet gave up, through loads of abuse. Took it in and they replaced it, no quibble,no receipt. Fantastic. Sorry i dont know of any codes though.

halfords stuff these days is ment to be v good, i have got a set of spanners that i got from a car show for £5, they are ok, but nothing special

and these sones looked like a good deal, but with the credit crunch etc and all, i want them cheap as chips
