Thumbs up 5 Pirates thought to have drowned during their escape!

"Five of the pirates reportedly drowned while making off with the ransom money after their skiff was hit by high seas"

OH, dear, what a pity ... never mind

Not sure how many there were, but I can just imagine the maths going through their heads ...... "IF we accidentally capsize and 5 die, I will get ££££££££££'s more" - rolls skiff over

Pete..... how dare you rejoice in anyone who commits a crime and pays a price... I am thoroughly disgusted as I am sure are all the others who think a life lost is a life wasted! (think the bradford scooby / chip shop accident)

Hang your head in shame......

Look, if any of them pirates were like Johny Depp from the movie "Pirates of Caribbean", I'd be very sorry.

I like the idea of deliberately not learning.

We will foot the bill.

Oil tanker attack could affect the price of oil as security costs mount - BloggingStocks

I fancy setting up a Oil Tanker security group....big money.

I can't understand how they were not picked up by police when they landed?

It can't be that difficult surely?

If I was the one dishing out the ransom, I would have asked the royal navy to lay in wait with a submarine.

Then torpedo them whilst making their getaway.

"The uncle of the pirate who washed ashore, Abukar Sheikh Hassan, told the BBC that the family had found $153,000 in a plastic bag in his pocket.

He said some of the money was wet and the family was now trying to dry it out."

The family obviously couldn't give a toss about the dead man: just "Show me the ransom money, Yippee!!!"

There's no mention of the relatives handing it back I see.

I wondered that, making them swim and carry the money ashore from a few miles out would make pretty good retribution

Of course, simply pick up the phone, get onto the international operator and ask for police HQ in downtown Mogadishu, job done.

Although given that Somalia has no functioning government there plod probably makes ours look like fast moving superhero's!

The boat was capsized by a Chinese submarine that's was on scene (standby) for the last 9 days. The money was also recovered and will be returned.

Or did you think that the pirates boat actually sank

It DID sink. Although I think that the fooking great big hole in the side of it caused by a torpedo might have had something to do with it!
