When I was his age you'd have got a good slap off your mates for being such a pr**k.
So I think he got off lightly.

Come on - it's a load of nonsense.
A member of a youth conservative party organisation does something, prehaps a little silly. Yipdee Do, so it upsets readers of the Daily Mail. Who cares? Everything upsets readers of the Daily Mail.
The McCanns demanding an apology makes me sick. It was their own utter stupidity, lack of parenting skills, and any sense of responsibility whatsoever that has caused them to be in this horrible (for Maddy) position. If they hadn't been such inept parents they probably wouldn't be missing a kid. Frankly, I'm amazed Social Services allowed them to keep their others after showing such an amazing aptitude for abandonment.
I'm 30 and haven't got any kids because I don't really want the responsibility for looking after them or having them effect my social life. Prehaps the McCanns should have done the same thing.
No sympathy from me. If you can't tell.

This 'kid' is in his 20's (old enough to know the difference between a joke and an insult), and of suitably high intelligence to be able to attend university. Who knows, perhaps an aspiring future politician into the bargain, being a member of the Conservative party.

Nothing whatsoever to do with politics. I agree with Blue by you. At that age he is certainly well and truly old enough to realise how offensive that could be, not so much as far as the McCanns are concerned although pretty unpleasant for them, but in the memory of that poor little girl alive or otherwise.
There seems to be a fashion for bad taste jokes these days, Its in no way clever and shows a lack of imagination as well as a sign of immaturity.
He was even stupid enough to boast about it on Facebook they say!

Your're talking tosh and you know it!!
Anyway ... we are about to drift off-topic ... I think it was bang out of order to go to a fancy dress party dressed as a lost child.

Convicted founder of a terrorist organisation which happily blew up Wimpy Restaurants killing families; oh.. and the leader of an organisation which did many equally horrible things to the Black South Africans they were meant to be representing - burning car tyres around the necks of Black South Africans who wouldn't follow the ANC's orders to commit civil disobedience.... and thats just for starters.
Lets all be honest - this is just another attempt to shift attention to some imaginary ill deed committed by the tory's in order to try and make everyone not notice that Labour have totally ****ed the country up. In the good old days Governments would have just invaded another country to distract attention, unfortunately, Labour has already used that card. To make comments about how badly the Conservatives handled the country the last time they were in power in the current climate shows some rose tinted glasses of the most spectacular magnitude.
