What a load of crap. Why would you use a pump and paddle wheel when you could connect the pump motor straight to the generator. Paddle wheels are definitely not efficient.

Maybe using a motor etc requires too much current for the torque required to drive the flywheel, using water and gravity to move it could be more efficient as you can use the weight of the water to turn it,

As a kid did you never try to make your own generator with a bike dynamo and motor, we used to wind our theory teacher mad with perpetual motion questions lol.
