Boots-Rockport
After about 5 years my trusty boots (what I wear most of the time with jeans) have given up.
Just forked out £70 on some Rockports because I have heard the name. Was looking at Cat too and Timberland (expensive!)
Have I wasted the dosh then or was it a good buy?Only ask because I'll take them back if I have bought on a name and not on performance(as I say, they would be worn virtually all the time)

agreed LOL!
it is a defining point of the charva up this way, if you have managed to scam more benefits then the average charv, then you can usually afford the slightly more expensive versions
once saw this goon swaggering around newcastle doing the charv-walk and the missus said "ohh look, he is the king, his have gold bits on them" pmsl
ps. do you tuck your trackie bottoms into them

I got a pair of Rockports when i was 15 in highschool, they were the prop0r chav style back then, brown and black
Anyway, my point is, I am now 23 and dug them out from under my bed last year to wear for hiking and they were so comfortable 8 years on.
And so they should have been for £140!
Hope i helped

They are a good boot, they are comfy and they wont fall to pieces.
But just like Lacoste, Burberry, Stone Island and the likes, they are now branded chavvy.
I doubt however if you were wearing them with normal non chavvy clothing you would come across as a chav.
They are a good boot, ashame really.

I had a pair of Rockport Brogues and they were the best shoes I have ever worn
sooo comfy -- that i smiled every time I put them on
and as someone once said to me "never skimp on shoes or a bed -- coz you spend most of your time in one or the other"

I recall a friend whom had some once telling me that you could send them back to Rockport for a full refurb, whereby they'd re-sole them, replace the insole, lining and laces and freshen up the leather (clean, polish and re-proof) for a nominal fee. Seemed a good service to offer, but I have never heard of this from anyone else and their website says nothing of it. If it was so, then it would make their price worthy if you could ensure a very long, extended working life. Unfortunately, the Ch@v image has ruined the brand.
