Swarm, BBC1 now
I have an honest to god phobia of insects and just about anything that flies, and guess what is on BBC1... hoards of the damn things from cicadas to locusts to mayflys to bees... and mice in Australia
and starlings in Rome.. and I thought bird poop over here was bad enough imagine a swarm of 10 million starlings crapping everwhere
It is amazing to watch, and my skin is creeping, jeez this is one reason why I am so glad to live in the UK

ew!ew!ew!
the man with 100,000 bees on him - they think he is the queen bee.. he deliberately covers himself in a pheramone (sp) which the queen bee secretes.. and they swarm on him to protect him...
In the name of science or not, the guy is a freak!

The mouse clip on the farm in Auz can be found on you tube. It has been heavily cut for the BBC. What you did not see is the reason why the woman had to rescue the pigs. They were slowly being eaten alive by the mice.

Absolutely stunning
The Bee chap was a professor of entomology so knew what he was on about.
The mice, though, were something else They ought to have them on "I'm a Celebrity........."
Often with nature there is a reason for what goes on but I couldn't figure one out at all for the swarms. Any ideas?
