Default Looking for a fun driver training day for my son

I know there are lots of driver training and 'supercar experiences' about. Some look fine, others look like there is a risk of disappointment...

My son has been driving for a year, and I'd like to give him a Christmas present of a driving day. Something that actually has tuition and skills involved but with some fun as well. It wouldn't necessarily use his own 1.2 Fiesta...

He's at Essex Uni (Colchester), so something near there would be good, or in early January or near Easter it could be in the Hampshire area.

What would Scoobynet suggest for an 18-year old ?

Contact Andy Walsh at Carlimits.com and he will come up with a bespoke package aimed at thrills AND education.

He will be able to demonstrate the difference between 30 and 35mph quite dramatically as you either stop just before them or go ploughing through

He'll get to drive fast, have a few spins and hopefully learn when speed is appropriate and when it isn't. Valuable driving skills.

Too far for you?

West Sussex CC subsidise a scheme where junior spends half a day on the road with a pro driver and is given a real lesson in road skills. Junior then gets to drive a beaten up old Ferrari on some track on another day. £150. I bought it for my 18 yo but he has yet to do it. PM if you want more details. dl
