Trouble is that thick moron Dubya probably has no idea of how big an insult it is. I wonder what the world would be like if he hadn't be President?!?!?!?!

Has she had plenty of practice hurling shoes at you as you stagger in at 2AM stinking of beer and cheap perfume

Apparently Bush said afterwards "If you want the full facts I'll give you the full facts - They were size 10"

Reported by the BBC this morning

That was a good dodge by the President.

I am also surprised he wasn't shot.

Exactly - no big thing from his American point of view (and yes, at face value it is comedy), but his failure to recognise the significance of the act (by local standards) speaks volumes about America's attitude to the rest of the world - ignorant and arrogant. If only they spent a little more time understanding the local way of doing things and not just steam roller-ing their one-size-fits-all concept of "Democracy" there'd be a lot less spilt blood...

the fact this guy did it speaks volumes about the stupidity of him and his ilk.

Whilst i disagree with the US as world police the people of Iraq have a great opportunity to stabilise their country and get a government that will run it in their interests as well as taking the US money that is pouring into building infrastructure etc.

Muppets. Thought Bush's reaction was spot on myself.

i had a wee cuppa coffee thismorning in bed flicked on the BBC News and near choked with laughter it was the funniest thing i've seen in ages, not necessarily the act but the look of Dubya's face was comical.

How people can't like this idiot is beyond me, i think he's fantastic! He sure beats Boring Brown anyway

Security sources have just revealed that no-one else was involved in the shoe-throwing incident and that the reporter was indeed the sole attacker.

Following the Iranian shoe-icide attacker incident; George Bush was said to be laced with anger.

I liked Bush's reaction when he said 'I don't know what his beef was'. Maybe it has something to do with the 90,000 Iraqis that have been slaughtered since the illegal US invasion. F**king *****. Just a shame it wasn't one of Richard Reid's shoes that was thrown at him.
