I lived in Qatar for almost 6 years as a kid (albeit back in the 80's) it was a great place to grow up in then.

Lovely beaches and generally calm seas, ideal for sailing and power boating etc.

Great desert for blasting about in 4X4's over some huge dunes.

I believe golf is quite big there now and in fact until recently one of the only ways you could visit the country as a "tourist" was on an organised golf tour.

Sorry I can't be much more help, it was 21 years since I left! Probably changed a bit

Where abouts, Doha or eslewhere.

Been to Doha several times, it is a mixture of building site and nicley finished (almost) city.

You will need to pay to enter the country, not much around £ 8.00

Good beaches, some great hotels, golf popular becuse there is not much else to do!

Just the usual stuff - desert safari, etc.

Well I'm half way through and having great fun.

Dune rides were amazing and so were the Souqs (sp??).

Still a big building site though

Been out what feels like eating all week. Great food, love the 5 * hotel knightlife and really friendly people.
