New Laws (Under Labour)
Whoever passes laws can't possibly have read them as some of these are ridiculous:
Do not disturb eggs: MP reveals oddest laws - Yahoo! News UK
"Wilfully pretending to be a barrister"
"Disturbing a pack of eggs when instructed not to by an authorised officer"
"Offering for sale a game bird killed on a Sunday or Christmas day"
I put the Under Labour in brackets as I'm sure that all parties have introduced their share of stupid laws.

A friend of mine's a Police Inspector, he said that since Labour came to power he's seen more new laws introduced than at any time before, most of them he describes as petty and generally useless.

most new criminal laws appear to be badly thought out, knee-jerk reactions to whatever the press are bleating about that week and will get them a hundred or so more votes as they appear to be doing something

today i was refused a £2 box of sparklers in a discount shop as i didnt have a letter from an authority saying i was to be trusted with them. I had a rant and everyone around seemed to agree at how absurd it was. Unbelievable petty and typicall of the way this lot waste and squander our taxes on wrong things. D

I think you should perhaps read up on Zimbabwe under Mugabe then come back and apologise, for such a crass and ill thought out comment.
Or at the very least explain what the similarities are?

The similarities between Robert Mugabe & Gordon Brown
And I think there is absolutely nothing to apologise for, except maybe to the people of Zimbabwe who suffer much more than we do. But then even Flash (and the rest of Nu Zanu!) should explain why they haven't removed Mugabe from power whilst being able to remove someone like, let's see, oh yes, Saddam Hussein! Even George Bush has apologised ( BBC NEWS | World | Americas | Bush regrets Iraqi WMD failure ) for the ****-up there.

And they've just revoked part of the banking act that meant the BoE had to declare how much money they are printing each week. Could the presses be about to go in to overdrive?

OK. A little tongue in cheek perhaps, but then maybe the only difference is the lack of violence towards opponents from Flash? Then again, maybe the only difference is the *degree of violence* .... but what I was thinking of was along the lines of theis little *cartoon* which is doing the rounds (and this is the first place I found it - not sure where it comes from originally) ...

Meant to be a *similar* saying to 'grain of truth'. Should have said 'more than a little similarity' .... OK? Better English for you?
