Why not? You just have multiple smaller speakers inside each 'can'. Exactly the same as 'real' 5.1, just closer.

I didn't actually look at the specs of those headphones - that is a bit poor in that case.

However it doesn't alter the fact that you *can* get 5.1 headphones.

So, The concensus is that I have spunked up too much cash!

Well, let me Retort.

My Sennheisers are shot and the dog keeps chewing the cable

The Mrs keeps slamming her hoof down on the bedroom floor if I play on the xbox on wired headset cos I talk too loud (new set has "Magic" installed to avoid this problem)

The X4 allows me to hear any output from my amp, not just the game console.

AND....


The Best excuse (Sorry, The Best Reason) of all.

Ive had my turtlebeach x1's for over 6 months now and i had no problems wth them what so ever because they are so robust. I can hear every little sound on COD4 that you would not normally hear through your tv!! and they only cost £40.


i forgot to add that i used to play on my surround sound and the quality is just as good with the headset.
