Hello all

I have a Ltd company in my name which I used when I was contracting.

However I joined a large corporation 2yrs ago and, and hence ceased trading.
I kept my company open so I could pay off tax etc... Everything was settled at the beginning of this year but I've never got around to "closing the company".
I now have a letter asking if I'm still trading stating my annual return is overdue indicating I will get a criminal record if I don't act now

I have no debts and the company remains. Can anyone tell me the form I need to fill out to submit to Companies House so I can close it for good?
I've looked on their website and I find all their terminology a bit confusing.
I did have an accountant to sort all the tax returns/boring stuff out so I could go back to him and let him do it...

NB My company had myself and misses as Director and Secretary.
(Those who do similar will know what I mean)

you will still have to do your return even if it shows zero.
you could then fill a form in to close the company. i cant remember
the forms name lol. but if you phone company house they will tell you.

Done this before. Simply phone companies house, explain the situation and they will send you the correct form.

all assuming you have no assets left to depreciate otherwise you'll have to keep it open till you are rid of them AFAIK

Did it recently - closing the ltd company was easy.
Closing the business bank account is being a TOTAL pain in the butt!
