Now that VAT is down 2.5%...
...does that mean the 5% currently charged on electricity/gas/heating oil is also down to 2.5%?
Can't seem to find anything about it.

And while VAT is down on petrol, booze and tabacco, duty has been raised to compensate, so effectively no change there either.
As I said in the other thread of the main expenses most families have, it won't make any difference as they aren't affected by the VAT changes:
Mortgage
Council Tax
Gas
Electricity
Petrol
Groceries
Kids Clothes
