Says in the Times as it is on lower rate vat of 5% it doesn't change

And while VAT is down on petrol, booze and tabacco, duty has been raised to compensate, so effectively no change there either.

As I said in the other thread of the main expenses most families have, it won't make any difference as they aren't affected by the VAT changes:
Mortgage
Council Tax
Gas
Electricity
Petrol
Groceries
Kids Clothes

Did you really expect that they would reduce it?
