Anyone know why he got sacked by Talk Sport ??

Listen to him most mornings If I'm in a car at that particular time of day. I thought he was away on his jollys but heard today they terminated his contract - Anyone know why ??

Nah he's not.

Believe It or not I checked his name when the list was published on here as virtually everyday someone accused him of being a member - He's a secret Tory.

To be fair I really liked him. I thought alot of he's rants were part of the act. He just spoke he's mind and just said on air the same thing most things we all talk about at work.

I loved the banter he had with he's team - I had many of laugh to my self when he used to rip the moose..

He called someone a **** on air. He said later that he meant a health **** but was given the chop all the same. Can't remember who he was talking to though.

My mistake: ****/health **** faux pas. It was tied in to a story about another DJ who used to cover, whose name was on the BNP list...

Touchy subject on here mate - There was over 12000 names and TBH couldn't be bothered to go through them all..

I checked him though and he deffo wasn't on there. Although another Talk Sport Presenter was !!

He had a councillor fro Redbrifge on about the 'smokers not being able to foster in Redbridge' situation. As he is a child who came through the care system, he felt qualified to comment that there is a shortage of good homes for children to be homed in, and the smoking should be a secondary concern. This was contested by the councillor, and Gaunty bit back. I didnt hear all of it but as far as I heard, the councillor made light of the fact that Gaunty was an ex care home child. Then the **** and pig business was introduced. Gaunty apologised and had support from all his callers, but by then it was too late.

I found him very entertaining. Didnt agree with all his views, but he got the callers in. Talksports loss I think.

100% agree - He was quality listening. It's either him that Sarah **** on Radio 1 or Jeremy Wine on Radio 2.. No contest.

Talk sports loss entirely - I've switched he's replaced off 3 times this week as he bores the life out of me..

The Jon Gaunt Sacked Interview

He was alright Big Boy Gaunty,some say he was a big head and didn't know when to shut up.But the guy had character and *****,he said things as they are and Talksport won't be the same without him,Ive already stopped listening to it.No disrespect to Ian Collins who as taken over from Gaunt,but i just found it boring the other morning when he was talking about Bloody Monopoly etc..

Well they sacked the legend that is James Whale for speaking his mind and now they have shot Gaunty. I found him quite amusing and also i did tend to agree with him on alot of matters.

The interview wasn't all that bad considering it was Gaunt,i think they have been looking for an excuse to get rid of him for a while.I reckon the viewer ratings will go down now Gaunt as gone,he did cut people off alot of the time,but only really when they were talking crap or giving their life story before actually saying what they wanted to say.I emailed Talksport and told them it wrong to sack Gaunt,and i won't be tuning in anymore,haven't had a reply.I could fall asleep listening to Ian Collins, I think the big boy will be back somewhere on TV or what other radio shows would have him.maybe he could do the morning show on Radio 1 with fat boy moyles.

It seems fine to be a leftie or socialist or even a communist (it think they now refer to themselves as socialists)- lot seems to be conveniently forgotten about Stalin or Pol Pot - pair of a lefties who did kill some 20+ million people between them for not holding his views or for even thinking slightly differently...

I am just as concerned about the left wing as i am the right and if right wingers cannot hold positions of power then why should the other extreme (left) be allowed to do so - it cannot work, people have to vote to with their feet and put the best person in place to do the job, left or right wing aside!
