Morrisons Petrol 89p!!
#3
The gap is now 16p between petrol and diesel.
105.9 diesel
89.9 petrol
The gap was only 12p a couple of weeks ago, now its 16p
16p x 50l is an extra £8 on fill up, so any advantages that diesel motoring once had is now being slowly frittered away.
Especially when you consider the higher initial cost of the car in the 1st place over its petrol equiv.
Apparently could drop down to low 80's/petrol by xmas though so im not complaining

Still higher than it was during the 2000 fuel protests, though - and remember how we all felt about the price of petrol back then.
Please, don't fall into the trap of regarding it as 'cheap' just because it was even higher a short while back.

Yet diesel was cheaper than petrol in Gran canaria when I visited 4 weeks ago 74 cents and 84 for the latter

well, i enjoyed paying less for fuel today than i have done for quite some time.
At the end of the day, during my lifetime, petrol is going to be become so expensive on the very rich will be able to buy it. Oil will one day run out, it is only a question of when.
