How Much to get Ground Down?
Have a cherry tree stump in the garden, about 18" diametre, sticking up 3".
Need to remove it now as we have 4 cars and it's getting in the way.
Anyone had a stump ground down, at what cost?

Just done a load of these myself, tree stump grinding is a good way of getting them sub ground to a max of about 18" with a big grinder, but grinders are specialist and expensive.
However do what I did, as long as you know there are no services near by, hire a mini digger (about £50 a day plus delivery) and have the best fun ever, grown men turn into 5 year olds when in diggers trust me!!
Or alternatively if the roots don't flair out as it reaches the soil you can dig a hole round it big enough to get a saw in and just cut it subsurface.
If you do get a digger though I'll come do the driving for free.
