Angry Need help here.

My mum just said to me, some young lad in a baseball cap ( pulled down ) banged on the front door today this morning, my mum went downstairs. She said he walked up and down the driveway (full view of path & 2 cars from front kitchen window) and stopped at the top of the driveway, then proceeded to look over the house and looking up at the bedroom floor, me and my parents live in a 4 bedroom detached house. The only security is an alarm.

Nathan.

when you say banged on the front door???

did he just knock? or ding the bell? might have lost his footie over the fence?

what time was it ? 3am....? 8am

could be all manner of reasons.....

nothing else you can do, other than the guard dog / baseball bat combination.

Maybe he's sick of watching Jeremy Kyle in the mornings and was trying to drum up trade for his newly started window cleaning business...?

lol,

can understand the window cleaning reply, that would justify him checking out the top floor windows.

answering the door would have saved the uncertainty and guess work though.

That's what I thought, I know if I've knocked on a door in the morning and not got a reply then I look at the upstairs windows to see if the curtains are shut, assuming if they are then the occupants are still in bed

Well he wasn't a burglar unless he spotted your mum.

If he was, he'd have been in and out in a about a minute if he thought the place was empty.
