I'm off to Miami in a few days, does anyone know where I can get my $$$' at a good rate and prefebly commision free, the best place i've seen is the post office and they're offerning about $1.37 to the £.

The US hey...... so what you saying is just use my debit card in cash points over there, in the same way as I would here? Surly that would incure some kind of charges and commission would it not?

Yep - use the cash card - needs to have a Cirrus symbol on it I think. Can't remember the cost but its cheaper than changing money.
VISA cash withdrawals are expensive tho.

Lot of places do "home delivery" usually credit card companies, if you have an account with them, I know Amex do as I have used them in the past.

transfer your money into your Visa account. Then use that to make cash withdrawls. No interest charged as you are already in credit. No commision charged in most cases. Check the T's &C's for your card. Doesn't have the security of travellers cheques, but you are probably a big boy and can be trusted with a credit card.

I used my credit card ($1000 in credit) and still got charged a small fee in Florida a couple of years back.

I personally use cards as I don't like carrying cash around with me.
