PSX2s and 3 year olds

What games are there for the playstation 2 that a 3 year old can play or at least get immersed in without interference?
...unlike Gran tourismo where my (then 2 year old) son, when faced with a car on the starting grid, presses left and reverse. he refuses to let go whatever you do and then (getting frustrated now) throws the controller at the TV, runs off and starts banging his head on the floor.
get the picture?
Mario 64 was a good example - you just roam around the outside of the castle and occasionally meet things. doesn't really matter if you walk in a circle for half an hour.
Any suggestions?

You are better off getting some ps1 games for him to play, like spiro the dragon etc........plus you will get them cheaper than ps2 games.
