Muscle is MORE DENSE than fat.
Pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as a pound of fat.
Pint of fat takes up more space than pint of muscle.
OP has replaced xx pounds of fat with xx pounds of muscle but being denser, takes up less room in your birthday suit.

2 Volume = volume
A pound (weight) of (less dense) fat takes up more space (volume) than a pound (weight) of (dense) muscle

The more you train the more important protein becomes.
Been training hard for a good year now, switched over to a higher protein intake whilst lowering the carbs, i haven't lost much weight but overall bodyshape certainly has changed for the better.

He's just turned 18 and you know the drill. Wants one of these, the illusive 6 pack
He's 6' with a big frame. He cycles to college and back every day, but wants to do some training.
Is he still growing, what is safe, what should be doing.
Not meaning to hijack, just seemed a good thread to ask the question

Try this:
BULK WHEY...Whey Protein for less!
6kg for 55 quid - whey isolate
Whilst unflavoured you may want to add a drop of Nesquick to flavour if your not keen on the taste.

A lot of supplements out there to be frank are crap, supplements are just that, supplementation. A good diet is key (says me lol)
But if you want to gain lean muscle then adequate good quality protein is key.
Myprotein have a good rep but the daddy is imo CNP, i know i keep bleating on but Kerry kayes who was/is Ricky Hattons strength and nutrition coach has forgotton more than most people know about.
Check this out this was done over 12 weeks drug free.

Cnp is excellent albeit expensive, i have some pro desert samples on the way, bodytronics is another one to watch, i might buy their midnight express coconut cream or maybe the raspberry ripple once it's released.
