Dont bother posting a "well done" or commiserations thread on an F1 day,

the bonkers!!!!!! mods, yes you know who you are , go all PC and

move it, citing spoilers, and "some people may be upset etc," FFS if you dont

want to know the result, dont listed to the radio, tv or web.

you,s have thought they,d be shouting the good news along with the rest of

us, or are they part of F.. I.. A

Terminally dull, you can't help but feel the stupid steward decisions of recent races are starting to mean the drivers can't be bothered to take risks for fear of reprisals. It's pathetic.

Soon to be a spec eeries anyway so it's dead to me when that happens.

Recorded it on sky +

Other that Heiki and Alonso on the first lap and webber charging there was literally no action at all. Still Lewis won so I am well happy. Lol at Massas face on the podium

Oh and Hamiltons trophy falling apart

Zero point for a thread on this weeks race

What I would like to know was there any penalties given out for someone taking Trulli off on the first corner, nope thought not, typical FIA bias

I thought the press conference was good. Massa was severely embarrassed when he was asked about getting past Kimi.

I thought it was against the rules to let your team driver past because of team orders.

It was pretty blatant really and the grins at the press conference confirmed it.

Massa let Kimi past in Brazil last year for the championship. I think that rule only applies to cars that are not red. If Massa wins this year, he will need to give Kimi the trophy for a couple of weeks and then share it around the stewards for the rest of the year

It's not illegal for a driver to "help" his team mate... we all know it was expected of Kimi, but it was officially Kimi's choice to make..... hobson's as it was...

I felt for him..and Massa...who obviously didn't have the pace this weekend.

Well done Lewis... textbook race for him and McLaren.... Kovo had some bad luck, but it seams to follow him around lately..

It was a good result but a really dull race. I like it best when there are heavy showers interspersed with periods of warm sunshine so that it mixes it up a bit, the outcome then becomes totally unpredictable

I seem to remember there was a big fuss when Coulthard deliberately allowed Hakkinen to pass him so that he could get more championship points with an agreement that they had some years ago. It was stated that was not legal.

It was the Schumacher Barricello incident that really kicked it off. Since then, it is illegal for the team to issue orders. If the drivers decide of thier own accord to help thier team mate, then it's perfectly legal.

Must admit it annoys the hell out of me but what can they do to stop it. Teams can use codewords to issue instructions over the radio.

Afaik ferrari nor mclaren allow their radio comms to be broadcast. Imho they shouldnt get a choice it should be mandatory.

Even then all it takes is the lead driver to outbrake himself, lock a wheel etc and that lets his team mate past.

I hope that this years title is not decided by such a manouver either by Ferrari or Mclaren.

Btw what happens if its a draw on pts? Would it normally be the one who won the most races as if neither win the last round then both would have also won 5 races each?

If they are equal on points, it's who ever has the most wins, if this is equal, it's who ever has the most 2nd place finished etc.

What do you mean? Didn't you see that brilliant pass by Massa on Raikkonen on the back straight? He made Kimi look like he was standing still.

Cheers. So at present both have 2 2nd's and lewis is ahead with 3 3rds compared to Massa's 2. Lots of possible combinations for Brazil then. Whatevers happens this season its nice to have 2 years in a row where the title goes down to the wire.

What, so not subscribing to the Lewis fan club and Ferrari are evil mantra pervading this forum is not allowed then? LOL! Hypocrites is the word that comes to mind.

Now in reply to your patronisng tone I haven't had to go back through any archives as Monaco 2007 is very ineteresting in terms of the team orders debate.

The incident was investigated and although McLaren were found to have given the order it was considered reasonable to do so therefore no penalty was applied.

So it seems even a team that is not Ferrari is allowed to do it after all. LOL!

Personally I think F1 is a team sport and so what if the teams want to fix the order of their cars finishing. Just doesn't go down well with some of you when it isn't the team YOU support of course

If you dont know what comments people made or views they had on the '07 Mclaren team orders then how can you make such a sweeping statement?

Show me a post where I have said its ok for Mclaren to do it and not Ferrari? If you took your ferrari red glasses off you might have actually noticed that

TO be honest I dont have an issue at all with team orders. I think what they have now is a good compromise - You are obviously going to give the driver with the best chance the biggest support, and if that means a team mate lets you past so be it.

But it has to be the team mates choice, Barichello was absolutely heartbroken at being told to move over for Schumacher - Especially that early in the season.
So they changed the ruels and rightly so.

You won't see it until it gets to the business end of the season, and at that point its completely expected. I would expect no less from Hamilton and Kovalienen in a similar situation.
