Getting a credit card that does not use your home address?
Is this possible?
Seems every one I apply for want my home address with proof etc.
Thing is, I'm after a personal credit card to use for on-line purchases. But I want everything to be delivered to my business address.
Fine in theory, but most companies I deal with only send to the card holder's address, or require me to go through mind numbing verification procedures everytime I order. This would all be solved if my CC's address is my business address instead.
Currently I use the business's CC. But its becomming a bit of a nuscience really need to keep the business and personal stuff seperate financially, plus its never good hitting the credit limit on personal purchases then finding out when you need to make a important business payment.
Bank says I can't do it (Lloyds). But surely there has to be a way round this.

I also spoke with my brother who works it IT, specifically credit card handling, and he was of the impression that the address verification systems they use for mail order companies wouldn't be able to deal with having two valid addresses..... So none the wiser really

A number of online companies I use require any new customers to use their home address/address the card is billed to for the first order, but after that they will allow deliveries to be made to an alternative address.

Depends who you're with I think. I spoke to Egg about this and they said it wasn't possible to add a second registered address to the card. Have heard of some others who say it's possible though, so perhaps some companies allow it.

I had the same issue. Some CC companies can log an alternate delivery address. But some of the mail order companies I dealt with will only send to the card holder's address and no other address is allowed. The exception is if a verification letter is sent by post to my home address, in which I have to phone back with the verification number to authorise it, which holds things up by at least several days.

All the online shops I use are quite happy to ship to work addresses.
After all this is what address verification (AAV) was set up for and the 3 or 4 digit code shows the card is in your presance. All they have to do is send the postcode, house number and security code in the auth request and reject the transaction if 3 don't match the bank records.
Sounds like your shop isn't using AAV or doesn't want to carry the risk, and is making it more hassle than its worth.
