Red face REAL Inflation

BBC NEWS | World | Africa | Zimbabwe inflation hits new high

"Zimbabwe's annual inflation rate - already the world's highest - has soared to 231,000,000%, newly released official figures for July show"

How the hell can anyone operate under such a rate?

It works out at 7.3% every second! By the time you've asked "how much is this loaf?" and got the answer it's doubled!

"£22, I mean £28, no sorry £34..."

That evil **** Mugabe must be delighted with the world economic crisis as

a) The West is in a mess

b) He can blame everything on the global financial crisis

c) He is off the front pages and the fact that the supposed "Agreement" with the opposition is at a complete standstill goes largely unreported.

Went to Yugoslavia a few times in the 1980s with my parents. Even then you only exchanged enough money for that day because by the next day it was worth 75% of its value from the day before. Not as bad as 15 quadrillion percent or whatever though...

The only way would be to be paid in real things that you can barter with... bread, cheese, bog roll etc.

He wasn't infracted for the initial post, or one after, so I assume the ban came from elsewhere?

Correct. Two infractions for trolling, on two other threads, both marked as private, typically indicating the threads were deleted, probably due to their odd/pointless content if they are the two threads I recall the account posting.
