It belongs with 'The Cannonball Run', 'The Gumball Rally' and lots of other films of that ilk. Brilliant when you were little, but best left there. The only film that Im not going to condemn is 'Smokey and the Bandit'; whilst its far from brilliant its lasted a little better.
