£10 extra a month, plus the obvious box upgrade.
We don't have a dvd rental shop near us and doing the mail order rental thing doesn't interest me. Besides, having the + makes it even better, as you choose when you want to watch the stuff.

I upgraded when my existing Sky+ box started dying, about a year ago. At the time it was £199 for the box and I installed it myself. I'm to lazy to go to Blockbuster to rent a film, and I'd of had to invest in a Blu-ray player of some sort. Even after a year at £10ppm + £199 I think I'm still better of than the cost of a decent player, and no rental costs for the dozens of films I've watched. Plus I watch all the Sky One stuff on HD, plus lots of HD on Nat Geo, History, Discovery, CH4, and BBC HD when they can be arsed to put mainstream content on.
I don't get the BBC's scheduling for HD, they have a really good natural history programme on BBC1 at peak evening viewing, you check HD, and it's some niche programme or a re-run of some arty farty concert

Too true about BBC HD, but the odd time they have the football on, it gets well watched......can't wait for F1.
Main problem i can see from now on is the HDD not being big enough.
