Angry Wife Put The XC Through A Car Wash

Wife's Mini's engine died (lack of oil ) so she's been using the XC whilst I've had to use the Impreza.

Anyhow, came home this evening to find she'd put the XC through one of these so-called "car wash"s 4 years so far and it hasn't seen one so what does she do?

I wasn't sure you would approve

So why did you do it?

"It was dirty" - so damn what? We live in the country, it's muddy, car gets dirty. If I want to wash it, I've a jetwash and plenty of Zymol products.
I can live with the interior being messy and finger-prints on the rear-view mirror but a car wash?

9 years of Scoob & XC ownership (MY cars) & she knows they've never seen a car wash - Mini is hers & she can do wtf she likes with it - so why?

Not a happy bunny

No she didn't - she knew & the fact it crossed her mind & she chose to go ahead anyway shows intent & would be enough to convict her in most law courts

Not a mistake, she knew he would disapprove but went ahead and did it anyway.

I would say in her defence she did try and get it clean for you... but I expect the real reason for doing it was because she didn't want to be seen in a dirty car or something similar.
I'm sure she's already found a way in her mind to put the blame on you

worst thing is that she had to use your car as she forgot to maintain her own one properly and put oil in it!
double bad by her, if she hadnt screwed up then she would not have needed to borrow your car!

and you have NEVER made a mistake and done things to upset your wife, if this is the way you feel towards your wife about her putting your car through a car wash (4 year old volvo estate), maybe you should not be married in the 1st place.

I must admit, this thread is a bit sad. Its not a Bugatti Veyron!
I'm sure you can correct any defects next time you polish the car.
Just make sure you confirm with her not to do it again

What a good job it's only a car and not something valuable.

The lesson to be learned here is that it is human to err, and you have been man enough to recognise this, and are intending to show forgiveness and understanding. Women eh? Bless 'em...

Moral of the story is for YOU to check the oil in your wife's car occasionally.
Sorry to say that had you done that your Volvo wouldn't have world ending scratches on it.

Get a grip mate, she's put it through a car wash not a bloody wall.

I agree! You must lead an idyllic life to be upset by this! At least the car is back in one piece.
