Is your music choice based on your mood at the time.............
I am listening to loads of soppy stuff at the mo' as my dear friend has just been told he has won his battle with Cancer

I find it the other way around generally - the music sets my mood.

If I listen to Run - Snow Patrol after a beer ot two it reminds me of baby Charlotte who dies at 18 months of age from meningitis. 
If I haven't had a beer, it reminds me of her but makes me happy.
Today, I've mainly been listening to Richard Cheese which is just pure ****-takes, and the rest of the boys were laughing to it too. That just helped pass the stressful shift!
Other specific songs remind me of certain events or people. Those songs are generally positive. Except for Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up which just makes me wish I'd buried someone under the patio

Driving....I like to listen to Queen,Motley Crue,and Guns and Roses and Simple Minds.
Home i just put the Radio on,usually Galaxy or depends on time of day(Metro Radio)
Chillin out ,i flick on Sky to the softer 80's music....When im in the mood,it can be on for hours,me wailing to Spandau Ballet....etc.....Duran Duran...Where is that SAD emoticon.
When i want the GF to go to bed i put Classic FM on.

Sometimes my sense of humour picks my music. MrsREV had to stop me singing along to my iPod on the flight home from holiday. I was listening to Editors - The Racing Rats. Apparently the chorus is not appropriate for a flight

I've got a special MP3 CD that I made up just for driving and when I play it it always lifts my mood and makes me drive a little bit faster (Obviously dependant on traffic and conditions yadda yadda yadda)
If I'm feeling a bit down or whatever I tend to just make matters worse by playing something utterly depressing and wallowing in self pity
