****-Car of the year nominations
My opinion of other road users has been heightened by cycling, you get more defensive and that mechanism is based on the information you have, the vehicle is all you have to go on, my nomination for the vehicle type favoured by worryingly unstable, aggressive and obnoxious people is the,
Mitsubishi Animal Pickup or similar, the more flash, the bigger the ego/smaller the brain.
Today, one (Fully blinged) skimmed me with its wing mirror rather than wait the 50 yards til the road opened up, I was doing 20 mph, it was a 30 limit, now, if you had to be somewhere that urgently you would think something faster and more nimble (Perhaps a Large Garden Shed).
It may be partly that these things are imposing but they are often driven so badly and agressively ?
Your nominations please.

Officially: I don't hold any car responible for the person who chooses to drive it.
Unofficially.
Golf TDi. Without a shadow of a doubt
Every time I'm on the trip to see the GF on the M25. I can pretty much rely on at least one being driven by a real Darwin candidate! Awful lane discipline, following too closely, aggressive/inconsiderate moves.
And I'm not to keen on Audi A3s for the same reason either!!

P, R, S reg blue or green Passat Diesels.
Inherent smugness and sitting in the outside lane at 75.
*****.
(male chickens, not male appendages in case anyone is offended by the term "****")

Almost any Audi
Although it does work both ways. I have been driving an Audi A8 all weekend, and found nobody will let you out a junction or say thanks if you let them go when you're in an Audi.

Saw a pickup in London - may have been a mitsi
called "The dominator"
I think most people ended up spitting at it or giving the maxwell house sign

Besides, what do I know, I only drive a Mitsi L200 Animal.
And a 5 series BMW.
And both black.
Looks like I'm going to hell in a handcart, eh?

It'd be a shirt and tie wearing idiot in a new Mercedes tdi exec barge that came steaming up behind me on the M1 flashing his lights even though I was overtaking in lane 3 and doing over 70. Naturally I slowed to 70, knocking down a cog and disappeared as I got bored of his face pulling frustrations

It's because all the kn*bs who used to drive BMWs like tw*ts now drive Audis like tw*ts instead - and everyone knows it. All Audi drivers just get tarred with that brush.
I find it reps in A4s, rather than A3s though, that are the worst.
And Honda CR-V drivers, who all seem to think that they are driving a sports car.

All of these problems and more have been apparent in the states for a while. Try defensive measures....!?!?!!
- Big FO towbar or hitch @ radiator mayhem height.
- Sign on the back shelf to illuminate whenever someone gets way too close.
- 4-6x HID "work lamps" facing backwards to deal with persistent offenders.
(OK, so I made that up but daylighters have the same effect).

After an adequate shaming I pull over and let them by. When the kids are old enough I'll get them to wave

Golf TDI yup... a true **** car.... ditto about the "always saying how quick they are"... I'm thinking petrol envy....
BMW's (ALL BMWs...) Forever tailgating, or sitting on your rear quarter on the M-Way with no intention to pass... but quite happy to box you in..
Audi's.... the new TT seams to attract a certain type of ****...ususlly a bloke who likes hair products way to much...

I get hassled when driving the ST by lots of young lads driving maxxed out chavmobiles, Golfs, Corsas, BMWs, you name it, if it's a pile of shoite and slammed then the driver seems to think that it's very fast and will try to race me
Anyway the look on their faces is always priceless when they realise that their **** has just been handed to them on a plate by the middle aged lady behind the wheel of the (remapped) ST
