WOW! They look exciting!

I saw them in this link, Jacko.

MIDIMOTO | MIDI MOTO | 2 STROKE MIDI MOTO | X2 MIDI MOTO | NINJA X1 MIDI MOTO | YAMAHA R1 MIDI MOTO | R1 - X7 MIDI MOTO | R1 LEXUS LIGHTS MIDI MOTO | Great MIDI MOTO deals at GhostRacingSeries.com

(hope they are not the toy ones, or you'd think I am a right pillock! )

They don't seem to be too expensive new TBH. If your son's mate's isn't starting, you may end up with a bargain! Fixing two stroke mechanisms is not so difficult either, my partner says.

J4CKO, they are poor! Made from chinese chainsaw engines. I had one and they don't last long.

He would be much better with a pit bike, these are chinese, but with 4 stroke engines, quite reliable and parts easily available

Pit Bikes UK - Dirt Bikes £289, Pit Bikes £299, Quad bikes £399, Top Spec !

or try ebay

The parts are cheap enough to buy on ebay, and boy will you need spare parts I don't think there are any original parts left on mine.

I second that. I got a mini dirt bike. 150cc piece of chinese sh*t! lol

Replaced about 3 parts in the first week, but after that it was fine for a while. I abused mine to the limit around a track in the field next to my house. Engine is still sound after hours and hours of being flat out. Will try and find a link to the bike on ebay.

Here you go Pit Bike 110cc 140cc 150cc 160cc Dirt Bikes Demon X on eBay, also, Other Motorcycles, Motorcycles Scooters, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 14-Sep-08 16:16:36 BST)

They've increased the price since I bought mine. Which was about £300 delived for the 150cc. They have great engines, Basically a honda design IIRC. Pretty responsive, but maybe not ideal for a 13 yr old. I found it to be almost too quick for the bike. You have to really throw it around with confidence. I've been riding trials and motocross bikes since I was about 12, and I found it a handfull(suspension is a bit stiff for field use)

I'd be inclined to spend a bit more on a used KTM 85 XC.
