How on earth did you manage that - mine expires 10 years after the valid from date, you are looking at the actual photocard not the paper bit I presume?

It's always been the case - same as if you change address but don't go through the aggravation of getting a new licence with the new one on, you risk a £1000 fine...

Just renewed mine, I passed my test just after they came out (my provisional was paper) so I was one of the first to have one, they send a reminder out
