I have acutally forgot how good my rel200e sub is I have bought a media box and watch most high def films via that on my plasma tv. The sub is OK that I use with this TV but nothing major? Iron man is out now on proper 5.1 so I have played it thru my gaming system which is a custom speaker set,rel 200e sub and 8ft screen with my high def projector As soon as the film starts I have a big laugh at how good the explosions are , then my lass shouts down the stairs to turn it down ( cow) Rel they are the best and they are soo sooo much fun

I've got a REL 100E, had it for years and hardly ever use it. It is brilliant though, I'm now going to have to dig out a decent film and turn the sub on, might leave it until tomorrow night, don't think the neighbours will appreciate me turning it on now

Hi steve,

Everybody over at AV Forums is raving on about BK and svs subs at the moment which come in about the £400 -£500 mark. I presume the REL is more expensive?

Yes the rel is more expensive, I think I paid about £700 for mine and that was cheap at the time. I would recommend going into a proper AV centre and listening to a top end Rel sub and the BK sub and deciding for yourself. Personally I don't think any other sub will come close to the Rel ??? A quality sub makes a huge difference when watching films at home.

I used to have the rel100e then I sold it and got this new one and the difference is night and day You wouldn't think you could get better than the old 100e but the 200e is something special

Which "media box" did you buy? I'm looking to get one later this year, was thinking along the lines of this KJ Global Ltd. TVIX M-6500A v2

I won't be there mick as my car is away but if you want to know how to spend lots of cash Years ago I used to think the bigger picture was better than the sound ?? How wrong I was, its better to watch a cracking film on a 26" tv with superb sound than watch the same film on say 80" with a poor sound
