I wouldnt use vinyl straight onto walls - for one it will highlight any bumps or uneveness, and they wont look that good, and you will also find that if they are left on for a long time, they will probably pull the paint off when you remove them. ( They would really be better suited for windows or wardrobe doors - surfaces that are very smooth and not painted )
You can use wall vinyl, which is meant for short term displays and is designed to be removable so wont damage any paint, but still wont look that great, and is pretty expensive ( we do use this occasionally, but would normally just put some sort of backboard onto the wall, and apply normal vinyl to it for displays as the cost works out less in most cases and it looks better ).
Personally I would get some pink card that you can use in a normal printer, print on the outline of whatever shape you want, cut out with scissors and then stick up with blu-tack.
If you are really set on vinyl and cant get someone to do them let me know as I can make them up.
