Same thing happened to me quite some time ago, and there isn't another one around for many miles, if there was space on his list which there isn't anyway!

What lies we were told.

This has happened with my last 4 dentists. All have said screw you NHS and gone private. The last one has now gone to Dubai to open a practice and left me again with no dentist.
Proby

PS : Scale and polish was only about £30 when gone private with them all.

I couldn't get on denplan because of the work needed to bring me up to standard. Luckily the work went with NDP which has no requirements for good health before the benefits kick in. Covered for 2.5k a year and will probably use 1.5k of that this year.
30 years of neglect does indeed take it's toll - isn't hindsight wonderful?

Dont you just love these "insurance" type plans, offer the world, but in reality only give out the bare minimum,

Seems strange in this "non discriminatory" world, you are excluded because you dont come up to scratch.

I had loads of probs with dentists, its resolved now, but caused no end of pain "literally" and worry,

thank god for the nhs is all i can say

Would have previoulsy agreed with you but literally saved me a fortune over the last 10 years.

Guess I was lucky that costly dental probs only really reared their head after joining Denplan

we are quite lucky there is at least 2 nhs dentists in our travelable area which paying for work with them was a pleasure after paying for private beforehand, it is totally discusting the price differences for the same work.
I had a stack of work done and it only cost me £200 instead of the £1000 private.

We need more NHS dentists!!!

Luckily my teeth are harder than diamond (my Dad is 70 without as much as a filling) yet when I had gingivitis, my dentist took me for a 100 quid
