I have a goodmans DVD player, it wont play all regions...

How do I make it play all regions? I have tried asking it, no joy. I have tried threatning it, no joy. I have tired seducing it, still no joy..... me thinks it does not want to play all regions, or it is very stubburn?

Tis a GOODMANS DVD3500PK

Any ideas?

As far as im aware the Sonys cant be made region-free with a handset hack. They have to be chipped.

i got a sony davs300, it was cheaper to buy a all region player than to have mine chipped. richer sounds £80 plays anything dvd,cd,cdr,cdrw,vcd,mp3 wired up so sound comes out of sony..

You can find all the remote control hacks here. If you cant find your model in here, you will need a chip mod.

Panasonics are not remote hackable (except maybe very early ones).

Recent models must be chipped.

The hack is as follows

Open drawer
Type 9817
Press enter till region 9
Press return

DVD will now play region 1 and 2 discs, and macrovision will be disabled. If picture is then b&w follow this

Leave draw open, enter setup, enter video output and choose PAL, this works fine on all regions now!
