Default Catch it, Kill it, Wear it

Did anyone else watch that drivel last night?

Silly bint decided it was alright to drown beavers in underwater traps as "they look like big rats" and Mink were "killed quietly and quickly" so that was alright as well.

Shocking to watch, they should make anyone even thinking about buying a fur coat watch how the animals are skinned, I would say killed, but last night some were just skinned alive and left to die in unimaginable pain.

That's a ridiculous comment to make, and will no doubt attract the unnecessary attention of the scoobynet infraction league against cruelty to cats.

No I didn't see it but I don't know how anyone who wears real fur can have the gall to be seen in public doing it, they must be very, very unfeeling people.

I am practicing my airgun skills, getting pretty damn accurate, Bunny's next when I can guarantee a kill, my airgun mentor has told me about hunters karma, if you kill it, you eat it, and kill it, dont hurt it then kill it, ensure a clean kill or don't shoot, I have never drowned a Beaver, just made a few gag

Aim, pull trigger, then braise with Carrots, Shallots and Red Wine.

That's the plan, there was a dearth of bunnies on Sunday, just worked on my technique.

Not going to shoot anything for "fun", i.e. just killing whatever wanders of files past, just Rabbits, which will be skinned and cooked, its not a new concept and I have no problem with it myself, I eat meat and am prepared to kill it, would be the same with Pigs and Cows but a .177 air rifle isn't really the ideal weapon to take down a 1000 kilo mammal.

We shall see, I may feel bad about it, but I doubt it.

A Sunday Joint, Sausage or Bacon Butty was once a living thing, probably intensively farmed, shipped to a slaughterhouse and offed with a bolt to the head after waiting around hearing its mates being "Processed", a Rabbit being shot wild has been doing what Rabbits do until a lead pellet kills it.

You cant go all "Meat is Murder" and then go and have a Big Mac, if things went **** up and there were no food in the shops would you kill to eat or still worry about the Rabbit's, if there was a Rat in the house, would you rehome it or **** it with a spade ?

Are you one of those veganists then?

Mankind kills 100 billion animals a year for food. Quite a shocking number, but not shocking enough for me to give up my lamb curry

I have no qualms about killing animals for food, even if that food may eventually be wasted. If you want to make a point (again) I would suggest that instead of attempting to bait/draw a response you lay your cards out on the table and build a debate, assuming you are capable of that.

See the brief shot of the animal - a dog I think - still alive looking straight at the camera will stay with me for a while. One of the most shocking things I've seen on TV.

Indeed, very disturbing, I can also see it every time I think about it, bet it took ages to die.

Cool, that's all I was asking, whether or not you felt so strongly harming animals about it as to become vegitarian.

That's another typical pathetic quote, your style of baiting and breaking down responses into bite sized quotations so that you can manipulate, twist and generally bend the truth is clear for all to see.

Maybe you need to stop trying so hard?

I did not see it, but was shocked to hear about some animals being skinned alive. That really is unimaginably cruel and those doing that sort of thing should be strung up for it.

I have nothing against eating animals, but they should be painlessly dispatched even fish.

There are some horrendous things that go on around the world, we tend to be on average kinder for example than the poorer countries, ok they need to eat but I have seen a programme where a Cat is thrown into boiling water and then skinned, it was still alive and still making an attempt to get away.

There is no excuse for cruelty like that, if you are going to eat something kill it, quickly.

As for eating stuff from near a motorway, so all the stuff you buy from the supermarket is made miles from any industrialisation or transport infrastructure, so a healthy Rabbit, Chicken or Cow that lives in proximity to the M56 will be lethal.

Best stick to processed stuff from Tesco's then, that will be a lot safer. Mattesons smoked Pork Sausage, Pepperami, Chicken Tikka Pieces and anything Bernard Matthews makes, all Bernard Matthews stuff, all that wholesome stuff !

As for Gamekeeper, Monarch of the Glen, its not like I am going to bag a brace of Pheasant with the Lord of The Manor, its the Pikey poacher hobby iof shooting Rabbits for the pot, if any actually appear, they are conspicuous in their absence, so I have to make do with shooting cardboard targets, now they arent very tasty.
