Default Olympics, stating the obvious

Just been watching some of this this afternoon,

Is it me, but do some of the commentators, actually think about what there saying?

Our girls were doing the gymnastic stuff , and the commentator kept going on how this was a difficult maneuver or routine.

WTF of course its going to be a difficult routine or maneuver, its the Olympics ffs.

What do they think the worlds best are going to do, hopscotch ?

Please correct me because I know jack about gymnastics but aren't the routines or manoeuvres awarded extra points based on the difficulty? That may be what they trying to tell you.

PS Sort your spacing out. You type like a retard.

I think they just struggle for things to say - cause lets be honest - most of the folk watching don't actually know what the difference is between most of the things they do - especially where gymnastics is concerned - so they just fill the gaps with toff like that LOL

Thumbs down

Did you know that the BBC has sent no less than 437 of these tossers out there to cover the events. 437!!! For them it's snouts in troughs time for the biggest BBC jolly at our expense ever.

You should NOT be watching this stuff on principle.

I watched some stuff in the big square earlier. Girl does about 3 hand flips, then launches into a quadruple backflip with three twists and a double salco one one leg with her eyes closed. Then she gets docked points for stepping outside the line. FFS - If I tried that I'd be happy to walk away with all my limbs still attached.

There is a thing about gymnastics that scares me though. I wouldn't ordinarily have any urge to watch 12 year old girls in leotards, but when you see it on BBC1 you think it is safe enough. The Garry Glitter police will be round in no time though

That'll be the floor then LMAO

I love gymnastics - its the only part of the olympics that interests me - and not because I like watching 12 year olds either - but because I used to do gymnastics - no where near that level though.

I take my hat off to anyone who can do stuff like that, but why oh why do the commentators give them such a hard time?

There always going on about the " form not being quite right" or an arm being slightly out of position, FFS if they were all perfect it would be boring. I,d like to see some of these commentators put down there mike,s and get out there and try to do the stuff there doing. I doubt any of them could do routines the gymnasts are doing today, compared to when (if) they did it.
