Pink leather
I've got an old Ikea chair that is the most comfiest thing to sit in but it needs recovering.
The wife would like it doing in a bright pink or purple leather () and the re-upholsterers that I've spoken to seem to think they can't get that colour leather, or failing that, Alcantara.(admittedly, they didn't seem to be the brightest or possibly the best guys for the job - I'll keep trying though)
I've done a Google but with no luck.
Would anyone per-chance know where I could get some from?
Ta.

I would give you my skirt, but it would not cover a chair
Try where you bought it from, or somewhere like DFS, you never know

Are there no industrial type estates nearby, that have any factory fabric stores?
Even if they don't have the fabric you 'need', they may be able to point you in the right direction.
I am pretty sure the likes of John Lewis/Fenwick sell fabric, but no idea of their range, but again, they may be able to give you some pointers.

Never mind a psycho ex, you'll be hiding from a psycho zip106 if you call me gay. I live in Notts too.
84of300 - DHS?
I got the chair from Ikea many moons ago.
Anyway, I never even thought of good old John Lewis so I'll try there next.
Cheers

Leather testing |footwear testing |leather training & courses |technical experts
Hope this helps

I've always wondered if it is true that a mini skirt has to be, by law, at least 6 inches below minge level. Think I may have spent too long watching Shooting Stars as an impressionable teenager

Of course you can get pink leather. Funnily enough I made a load of menu covers in a bright pink not so long ago.
Your upholsterer is talking out of his bottom.
How big is the chair, measure the areas you have to cover and I'll tell you approximate footage required.
One of the tanneries I use in scotland has stocks of all sorts of colours at reasonable prices. To give you an idea, you should be paying around £105.00 for a 50ft hide in pink, ex vat and delivery.
If you can tell me the sizes, I'll have a look in the racks and see if I have any of the leather left.
If you want any more info, feel free to pm me.

Fitzscoob - I'll have a measure and PM you, cheers
Leslie - this will just be a very casual chair to go with the Ocelot fur covered chaise longue we've got, no intention of trying to sell it later on!

Its funny, sometimes my customers pick some really funny colours, like that bright pink. But once it was made up it looked pretty damn good.
Having said that, on a sofa might be a bit too much for me!
