Sorry, seriously though, I've heard people talking about bicarb of soda and stuff but not really sure, do febreeze do some kind of heavy duty thing? Someone must know?

Dettox spray or if not rug doc carpet cleaner will do the trick.

spread over the area leave for a day hoover off, it worked in my car with milk stain/smell. as for coke, to expensive and i think Tam was right bit of a waste! coca cola would stain and remain sticky because its nearly all syrup.

Another vote for bicarb here. From time to time I sprinkle the whole house with it, leave it for a few hours and then hoover it up. Leaves your carpets nice and fresh. I learnt that from Kim and Aggie. They're great

With a match? You cant get the smell of sick out of a carpet can you? Mick Hucknall had to cut all his hair off after someone puked in it: and you can wash your hair over and over and over.....

Have you tried rubbing dog**** into the carpet ,that'll remove the smell of sick

Could you not just steam clean it, to clean deeper than just a household stain remover, then put down some shake and vac, to get the fresheness back.

I could be talking ****, but it might be worth a go.

As a dog owner....

I had to pull up the carpet and excise the offending underlay to get rid of the smell.

We have cats and used to have the carpets professionally cleaned annually. Cost a fortune. Then we bought a vax carpet cleaner, it's fantastic! Now wwe can clean them every 6 months for much less cost, and it's always noce when they are really clean.
