Favourite was Shawshank Redemption. Ok old film, but even better on DVD....all time classic.
Looking fwd to getting American Pie 2 this year.
What's your best DVD of 2001 and what film are you looking fwd to this year?

Hmm The Fast and The Furious would be my choice. Was everything that Gone in 60 Seconds should have been. And before you say it is 2002 I got mine delivered before Xmas 2001 so it counts.

Fast and The Furious... I'm sorry...
I do hope that you are referring to DVB extras as opposed to the film , which IMO is the biggest load of factually incorrect, Nova boys idea of a **** flick...
What a load of Toss !!!
Just my $2c ...

Swordfish is worth buying purely for the reason that you get top see Halle Berry's ****!
hehehe...good film as well though.....
U571 gets my vote as well....superb 5.1 surround (or DTS whichever takes your fancy)!

Swordfish... OH YES
I'm a BIG Halle fan (underwear scene was best for me), but Travolta is such a cool b'std in this that he makes the film.
Recommended, even though I don't think it was out in 2001

Paul78 - did anyone ask what we thought was the "most factually correct film of 2001"? I think not - try reading the question next time.
Goldfinger - yes mate its definetly worth watching just to see Halle Berry as she is stunning and those breasts are perfect. Still unsure if she looks better than in Xmen but as she bares a lot more then I guess Swordfish wins

Another vote for Shrek. Seen it 4 times now.
Best animated film to date and definitely the funniest.

P1 Fanatic,
I did of course read the thread, however I was questioning you choice of best DVD... Now although the thrills and spills are OK !!! The film personally annoyed me a lot, which far outweighed my enjoyment of 'sycronized driving techniques' American style ...
As I said just my $2c - Enjoyable but not the best film !!!

Just got Shrek and Swordfish - both very good.
Also bought Shawshank Redemption, which is one of my all time favourite films.
ALSO bought The Subaru Impreza Story on DVD - had it on VHS, which wasn't very good, but the DVD is IMHO worth having.
BEST DVD?
- has to be The Phantom Menace!
Okay, the film was a bit of a let down for die hard Star Wars fans (like me) but as an overall package, I think it's the best DVD I've got at the moment. Very well put together
Rich
Edited to say "Corner" (my first I think)
