EON - advice on how to deal with the useless *****
I had the unfortunate experience of having eon as my gas and electricity supplier when I moved into my house last year. I immediately switched suppliers and it was all done after 3 months. This was the end of last year I moved suppliers.
I am still, 7 months later, in dispute over the final bill due to a misreading by them. Having been told god knows how may times it was all being sorted out over the last 7 months I have received a letter this morning warning of an impending visit by a debt collection agency and the threat of a CCJ which will affect my credit rating.
Obviously I have been straight back to eon threatening legal action over this as no one is doing **** all about it and am waiting for a manager to call me back. They keep saying the account is suspended whilst being sorted out and to ignore the letters but I can't ignore a debt collection agency paying a visit.
In the mean time who else should i contact? Trading Standards? The Energy regulator Ofgem? My solicitor?
Also what is the law regarding me forcibly removing debt collectors off my property as I will not take kindly to them knocking on my door as I despise them greatly? Is it a case of me having to call the police as opposed to me dragging them off my property?

Contact the regulator - I had issues with Scottish Power who were getting REALLY snotty with me - it was due to their own admin ****-up which they would not admit to.
One conversation and a copy of the correspondence to OfGem later and all hell broke loose SP just fell over themselves to sort out the issue and I got a HUGE reduction in the bill.
As to the debt collectors - there have been many posts about this in the past, I'm sure someone will come up with the correct advice.
