Is Jersey worth visiting?

Me and the other half have been talking about having a few days away. We've narrrowed it down to either Dublin or Jersey. I've spoken to a guy at work who was born & grew up in Dublin and he's given me a few pointers.

I don't really know anything about Jersey other then looking at a few websites.

Any views or suggestions?
