Bought a new plasma tv the other week,got sky and the volume wont work with new tv........did before though,can you set it up some how??

You need to enter the remote control code as used by your tv to enable the function.

It's either under the Sky active menu labbled set up my remote.

I can't remember how exactly it is done, but I think you can get onto the guide, where you get the correct code to set up your sky remote with your tv, through the interactive button on your remote. There should be an option for technical help, I believe, where you will get the code and it gives you step by step info on how to do it.

If all else fails, or I am wrong, if you phone them (sky) they should be able to help you out.

I'm not convinced you always get lucky. With my Samsung (not too old plasma) the Sky remote will work the volume in steps, but if you hold the button down then the volume changes 1 step then stops. Holding the TV remote button down will continuously alter the volume as you'd expect.

Over the weekend my sony stopped recognising the sky controller (blamed it on the 20mth old).

Great timing of the post - instuctions worked a treat!

the 3 / 4 digit code dosnt work for out TV,

did the manual hunt menthod and have a code that worked.


got the remote to spit the code back, and recorded it.

the batterys fell out the other week, so i reentered the revised saved code.


and it dosent work


need to go hunting again, but the new hunted code dosent work
