Default YouTube..help needed!

Have been trying to upload a video to YouTube .. it's telling me to be patient as the process may take several minutes..it's been showing that message for well over 2 hours now

Do I leave it going in the hope that it will upload eventually or should it be finshed by now? The .avi size is around 570,000KB..

TBH i am winging what I am doing as I have never done this before so advice would be greatly appreciated

Dunno if this is right or not, but if you are uploading at 50k per second, thats 3000k per minute.
570,000k would take 190 minutes.

What's your tinterweb speed?

If your on 2meg/bit your upload speed may only be 500k/bits (per second)...and 570,000kilobytes is 4,560,000 kilobits. So it "should" take 2.5 hours.

But on youtube...double it (busy servers, low bandwitdth etc.)!

It doesn't matter how long it has taken, more importantly is, do we want to watch it

do the smart thing and compress it or bang it in divx.... makes it very small then with no real loss of quality for youtube purposes.

Right well you'll have to take a couple of things into consideration then

1) i have never ever done anything like this before
2) my town isn't exactly a bustling cosmopolitan
3) You may not like the reason why I have done it, but I am a huge huge fan and want to win (highly unlikely but I can but try!!)

now be nice, please!
