If you have any doubts simply login to your PP account in the normal way and send the admin team the meassage you have received and see what they say.
I don't trust anything like the type of e-mail you have received. Just copy it, enter my account via the trusted links I have and then paste the relevant info into the enquiry form......... Job done, if it's genuine you will get a response fairly quickly and if it's bogus at least you have let PP know that some one is running a scam.
Cheers

Never ever ever click on a link to "take you to a page" where you verify your details.
THis goes for banks, Gas companies, Paypal, absolutely anyone.
If you are unsure if something is genuine - open a new browser window and type in the URL directly (or go via your favourites), log in and you will soon know if something is amiss.

Ring them asap.
I got sent something last yr when someone accessed my account and took out 1.5k....paypal luckily didn't authorise it to be taken from the account (they took it from my credit card)........I got the 1.5k back and then for some reason paypal sent me another 1.5k...lol...RESULT!
I had to do a lot of messing about to sort it out though, printing and faxing proff of ID etc etc, it can be a right ballache.....
Ring them directly IMO.
