Default Someone recommend me a good paper shredder ?

I`m after a good paper shredder for getting rid of old bank statements etc, can anyone recommend one at a reasonsable price that shreds letters very finely. You can`t be too careful these days.

Its for home use so i`m not after a massive industrial thing, just something thats ideal for the home and does a good job.

As suggested above get a diamond cut or cross cut shredder, usually about £15, some can also do CD's and Credit Cards as well. Depends how paranoid you are.

A quick Google will find the following.

Cross cut shredders grew in popularity in 1979 after the American Embassy in Tehran was overrun by Iranian militants. Documents at the embassy where only strip-cut, allowing the pieces to be pieced back together by Persian carpet weavers. Due to the Iran incident, the government now requires strict shredding conditions.

I got one of these... and so far it's proven to be excellent.. sturdy, reliable and even looks ok. They sell them in the stores... bought mine in store for £19 on offer.

Does credit cards, CD's, X-cuts upto 10 sheets and doesn't mind staples.
