I last flew from Seattle to Amsterdam on NWA. We had a bit of 'technical' issue just after take off, and the captain had a dig at Airbus not having a fuel dump facility, and if we had been flying in a Boeing, we'd be okay. I don't think that's quite true, as 'fuel dump' is an option AFAIK and NWA decided not to fit/specify it.
The said trip resulted in a 'not quite an emergency' landing at Detroit, with us being chased down the runway by all the fire engines. Must say, the butt cheeks were twitching big time
